Excel Precision are looking to appoint a Toolmaker to support the tooling side of the business. You will be based at our Selly Oak branch, which is a fast pace, sales driven business unit that offers EDM/WEDM subcontract working along with its tooling division.Day to day you will be making and getting involved with the design of tooling, Jigs and fixtures ranging from simple piercing tools to more complex make to print Aerospace Fixtures.If you believe you can thrive in a closely knit team, keep reading on

**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Toolmaker include, but are not limited to:

- Aerospace Fixtures, In-House Fixtures, single op Press tooling
- Benchwork - assembly
- Able to confidently work to engineering drawings will be essential with the ability understand information clearly and concisely
- Use of all conventional machines - Miller, Grinder, Lathe, Driller
- General Maintenance of fixtures
- Liaise with customers when required occasionally
- Measurement/Checking etc

The tooling division operates out of the Birmingham site based in Selly Oak, The UK business operates out of three modern manufacturing facilities in Gloucester, Leeds and Birmingham with over 30 CNC Wire and Spark Erosion machines, with our Tool Room, andInspection Department is based in Selly Oak.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Toolmaker:

- Toolmaking qualification/time serves apprentice or equivalent
- Able to confidently work to engineering drawings will be essential with the ability understand information clearly and concisely
- Experience working with Aerospace Jigs and Fixtures, press tools would be ideal
- Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with colleagues
- Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and a consistent approach
- Problem Solving and trouble shooting
