Part time position available (approx. 25hrs) including alternate weekends on a rota.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and energetic person to provide exceptional kitchen and customer service ability/experience in our busy Garden Centre Café.

The role will be working primarily in the kitchen, baking and making sandwiches/paninis to order with an opportunity for some front of house work if required.

We are looking for someone to deliver excellent kitchen support, ensure customer requests are dealt with effectively and efficiently. You should be able to work under pressure as part of a team, within a busy café environment, whilst also being able to work using your own initiative too. You’ll be assisting in making fresh meals to order, fresh food preparation as required, support in baking fresh cakes and pastries, washing pots and all other associated cleaning. There will also be opportunity to spend time supporting front of house if required.

You must ensure all health & safety standards are met including the assisting of food preparation, cleaning in the kitchen, front of house areas and all other associated department tasks.

You need to be:

- Have strength in cooking to order and associated food preparation
- Helpful and friendly
- Have an interest in cooking and baking
- Punctual and hard working
- Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn
- A team player but also have the ability to work on your own initiative
- Flexible enough to cover extra shifts, cover holidays etc

Previous experience preferred but not essential as training will be given.

Part-time hours: 25 per week
