Early Years Practitioner

Your role will be to support and develop early year’s education in the most fun and innovative way and you can use your experience working in a nursery environment to fit into our team delivering the best possible childcare within a well-resourced family run nursery with a large friendly team.
- You must have a friendly, smiling face to welcome all children and families.
- An excellent singing voice is not required however the ability to loudly sing a nursery rhyme in front of an audience is essential
- Long arms to wrap round one or more children for squishy hugs are a bonus
- Accept that you may enter public places after your work with numerous unidentifiable substances on your clothing and possibly in your hair
- Must not be squeamish - poo will play a big part in your day
- Must be able to read an upside down book with at least 6 interruptions per page whilst not losing your place.
- You must be prepared to have lots of fun and laugh frequently throughout each day.
- Lastly and most importantly you must want to make each child feel nurtured and secure, special and important.
The boring stuff:
- You have to get up early in the morning to start work.
- You have to have a bit of paper which tells us that you studied for a SVQ3, HNC or equivalent.
- You will have had experience working in a childcare environment before.
- We will renew your PVG but you have to update your SSSC registration.
- You will know all about the Pre-birth to Three Curriculum
