**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
- Support chefs and cooks in various tasks, including cooking and plating dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food products are handled safely and hygienically.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies when necessary.
- Participate in catering events as needed, contributing to meal preparation and service.
- Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment, reporting any maintenance issues to the head chef.

**Skills**
- Basic culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy setting.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, able to follow instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to assist with various tasks as required in a dynamic kitchen environment.
