Principal Consultant

**Principal Consultant - Automation**:

- A _**_Principal Consultant_**_ will leverage his/her process-driven, analytical, technical and financial management skills to lead large / complex engagements or multiple smaller engagements in support of client automation initiatives / projects. Responsible for overall client satisfaction and delivery, high-level client interaction, project status management and reporting, as well as business development and support of sales opportunities._
**Responsibilities / Duties**
- Drives automation opportunity identification and assessment within the client organization
- Responsible for the define, design, configure, test, deploy and integration of new, modified and/or enhanced automations
- Leads and/or participates in various types of interviews, meetings or workshops to define and design automation solutions
- Leads and/or participates in the development process, including constructing and maintaining efficient, reusable and reliable code with automation software and tools
- Leads and/or participates in testing activities, including integration testing, end-to-end (business process) testing and user acceptance testing
- Leads and/or participates in the problem identification/error resolution process, including tracking, repairing and reporting defects
- Creates, edits, revises and finalizes life cycle deliverables such as process design documents, solution design documents, and operating instructions (i.e. Runbook)
- Creates and maintains process, technical, project or other documentation, as may be required, to support development, project management and training
- Coordinates sign-off approvals by business and/or technical staff to certify successful results of milestone deliverable(s) or phase completion, including program development and deployment
- Performs code review of automations and provides constructive feedback to ensure quality of code
- Performs project responsibilities related to the project plan, invoicing, and revenue recognition
- Leads engagements across multiple clients
- Establish and maintain dialog with key client stakeholders to monitor client satisfaction and to respond/react to any early warning signs of client issues
- Act as point of escalation for client issues, driving remediation and memorializing agreements in contract changes/amendments
- Establish and maintain close working relationships across the delivery team
- Refine and manage the client satisfaction survey process, ownership for action planning and driving projects as needed to improve overall satisfaction
- Manage effective use of corporate resource to balance client satisfaction and profitability of the account
- Supports business development and new opportunity identification both within assigned accounts and with other clients as assigned
- Supports contract/SOW development for new client opportunities, manage the assigned account teams performance in accordance to the contract/SOW
- Recruit, interview and select staff for new and replacement positions
- Provide staff performance feedback and coaching, and manage the annual performance review process
- Establish and monitor individual staff development plans
- Assess team and individual training requirements and develop plans and alternatives for sourcing and delivering required training
**Experience Required**
- Bachelors and/or Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 10+ years recent experience with consulting engagements or with a large consulting firm
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing macros or automation tools
- Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
- Cognitive Solutions including OCR, Conversational AI / Chatbot, etc.
- Experience with leading and participating in the systems development life cycle and structured programming methods (both traditional and agile), including requirements definition, solution design, program development, testing, documentation, training, deployment, operations, support and maintenance
- Automation experience / knowledge with various platforms is preferred
- Ability to manage large scale programs including management of status, risks and issues
- Track record of meeting and/or exceeding established client, project and performance goals
- Exposure to performance measurement, continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently, or in groups, as the lead participant
- Ability to work well with business analysts, programmers, vendors and end users in cross functional teams
- Ability to take on complex assignments as the lead, and assume increasingly greater leadership roles/responsibilities
