**Pay rate**: £11.33 - £12.36 - Depending on Weekday/Weekend shift
**Shift Pattern**: 08:00 - 17:30 - 5 days a week between Monday - Sunday, with some flexibility on which days you can do
**Location**: Bitterne area (SO18), Southampton

***and we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in the Southampton/Portsmouth area.
This is a
**permanent** job, we are not an agency or a home, we are an independent healthcare provider who support individuals in their own residence.
**Requirements**:
- ** MUST** have worked as a carer previously in the UK (Preferably atleast 6 months experience)
- Experience working closely with families of the supported (preferred)
- Experience working with spinal injuries would be beneficial but not _essential_
- Experience using a Cough Assist machine would be beneficial - Our nurses can provide full training on this equipment if you haven't used one before
- UK drivers license _preferred_ - **Must** live within a 45 minutes maximum commute radius, if no license + vehicle.
This role will be supporting an individual with a spinal injury, she also requires her support workers to use a Cough Assist machine.

**Skills Knowledge and Expertise**:
**You’ll need to**:
- Be caring and approachable
- Preferably hold a full UK Driving Licence - _Must live within 45 minutes via public transport otherwise_
- Be patient and welcoming
- Be Helpful, reliable & professional
- A positive outlook
- Able to help with personal care
- Able to prepare meals
- Potentially administer medication and Ideally hold an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or related topic, or be willing to study towards this
