We are looking for a Lifestyle Assistant for our new luxury care home in Salisbury

We have high standards and believe that the care and service we provide is paramount, not just in what we provide, but in how we provide. The homes are our residents’ homes and we are looking for people who have the empathy and ethos to ensure we look after our residents in the best way possible and provide them with company and an active lifestyle.

We have an All Inclusive approach to our fees, so that our staff are focusing on the care and service provided rather than writing a bill, and you would not charge your daughter for a cup of tea if she had popped in to see you, so we don’t either. This includes not having extra bills for everything from hairdressing to trips out, so our extended family does enjoy their life in their home.

Our Lifestyle Assistants are the integral for the daily motivation, interaction and wellbeing of our residents. They become a key member of the care home family, responsible for directing and ensuring our residents are well cared-for through activities, person centred interactions and engagement. From providing intimate one to one activities of care through to life-enhancing group activities and excursions, the person-centred approach you provide, supports the wider team to deliver the luxury offer that Elmfield Care requires whilst enabling our resident’s fulfilment in the everyday.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Participate and contribute to planning a structured activity timetable designed around resident’s requirements, desires and choice. With a focus on Person Centred care and Delivery
- Have awareness of residents individual choices and life history to base pertinent activities within the weekly plan.
- Ensure the home has the relevant resources to deliver the activities.
- Work closely with the Lifestyle Manager and the Deputies to support the planned activities.
- Motivate, coach and encourage all team members to embrace, deliver and take part in activities throughout the home. Helping everyone to understand the importance in the day to day of our residents.
- Ensure the areas for activities are well stocked and maintained.
- Working closely with the Lifestyle Manager you will arrange and organise a monthly event in the home.
- Record all resident accurately in the daily progress notes.
- Be a liaison to the local community to maintain a positive status in the community.
- Liaise with the Lifestyle Manager to help ensure all residents have a voice and input to the running of the homes activity timetable.
- Bring an element of fun to the day for residents and staff.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 17.5 per week

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour
