Security Officer - Buglawton HallMitie has a great opportunity for an experienced
**Security Officers** in
**Congelton**. You will be contracted to a minimum of 42
**hours a week** with a pay rate of
**£10.90 per hour**. Extra shifts will be available when covering sickness, or leave on the site. You will report to the contracts
**Operations **Manager. You will be based at Buglawton Hall, interviews will be conducted at this location. The shift pattern is 19:00 - 07:00 for 7 nights Wednesday to Tuesday, then 07:00 - 19:00 on the Saturday and Sunday.

**Main Duties**
- As the first point of contact to all customers and clients, the Security Officer must be geographically aware of their local surroundings.
- There will be long periods of patrolling in all weather conditions, so someone who is not phased by working in an outdoor environment is desirable.
- The Security Officer must spot and stop all suspicious sightings or potential criminal activity and retain full control until the arrival of emergency services.
- Report to the Security Shift Manager - record, report and escalate all sightings and arrests on a regular basis.
- The Security Officer will demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customers.
- The Security Officer will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.
- The Security Officer should be able to work on own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills is essential (written and verbal).
- Retail Security experience is preferred but not essential.
- Flexible approach to work to suit the business needs.
- Calm under pressure.
- Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
