**Job description**:
Working for Immigration Enforcement is challenging and fast paced. You would be expected to demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism and teamwork with adherence to our vision statement:
Tackling immigration crime by empowering our people, inspiring confidence and protecting communities.

You will lead on serious and organised crime investigations to achieve maximum disruption of Organised Crime Group’s (OCG) operating in the UK and overseas. Using the latest techniques to disrupt and apprehend high-threat criminal immigration focused activities, build cases and bring criminals to justice. You will manage a team of investigators, giving you the chance to develop your mentoring skills. The primary aim of this team is to take forward investigations into the organised groups who are facilitating the illegal movement of migrants.

You will be an experienced investigator with a proven track record of managing complex crime investigations. You will act as the Senior Investigator managing a team of Chief Immigration Officers who will provide the day to day direction and supervision.

The successful applicant will have prior experience of working with covert tactics, an understanding of the National Intelligence Model, Financial Investigation principles and a detailed understanding of associated legislation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Set the direction and allocate resource in line with organisation priorities through a robust performance framework while being flexible and working under pressure to tight timescales
- Be responsible for the accountability of performance and output of CFI Belfast and provide timely and accurate advice to senior officers on performance
- Develop and enhance investigative capability in CFI Belfast in line with new Immigration legislation
- You will assess the needs of the business, internal and external stakeholders, and set appropriate strategic direction and priorities
- You will enhance and develop productive working relationships with key external stakeholders
- You will horizon scan for upcoming operational / policy/ legal changes that need to be clearly communicated to stakeholders
- You will be expected to be a highly visible and experienced manager, capable of leading a dynamic workforce in a fast paced and challenging environment Providing supportive and engaging line management to reportees and clear, inspiring leadership to the team
- You will need to be a confident self-starter capable of working with a minimum of supervision and able to manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders communicating objectives and plans

**Working Pattern**

Due to the business requirements of this role, it is only available on a full-time basis.

**Training**

You will receive full training and support to do the job. Training takes place initially in the classroom and then continues on the job with a mentor who supports you until you are fully confident in the role. **Travel**

Due to the nature of the role and it's geographical location regular travel will be expected to other site and to perform visits.
