We have an exciting role on offer within our Access and Safeguarding as a Rough Sleeper Lead.

About Us

We have created a new role within ACT Middlesbrough to support our focussed work with those who are rough sleeping in Middlesbrough. We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to lead our operational response to rough sleeping across the town. As Rough Sleeper Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing our rough sleeper officers, coordinating multi-agency efforts, driving innovation, and ensuring that individuals experiencing street homelessness receive timely, person-centred support.

You will be a dynamic and compassionate leader with:

- Proven experience working with people experiencing homelessness or multiple disadvantage. _
- Strong understanding of the causes and impacts of rough sleeping. _
- Excellent partnership working and stakeholder engagement skills. _
- Ability to support the management of complex cases and navigate systems to achieve positive outcomes. _
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and safeguarding. _

This is an exciting time for Middlesbrough as we develop ACT (Accessing Change Together) which integrates council staff and partner organisations and provides a range of support and interventions in relation to service users who need support with housing support, homelessness, domestic abuse and substance misuse.
