English Braids offers the opportunity to utilise your experience and skills by joining our workforce as a Night Shift Team Leader. The position of Team Leader reports directly to the Production Manager. You will be expected to successfully deliver the safe and efficient running of the Production team(s) whilst monitoring and responding to fluctuating schedule changes. This is a critical role where you will manage a sub team of (up to 6) workers by regulating their workflow as required by production demand. You will possess strong people management skills and be able to translate computer generated works orders for your sub team into end product in a timely and organised manner. This respected British manufacturer operates in a multitude of high performance and safety critical markets by providing quality ropes and braids to many sectors including leisure marine, rope access, renewable energy and Defence.

Our ropes are manufactured at our production facility in Malvern by a team of skilled operator/technicians that we seek to expand to satisfy market demand.

The job:

- Leading a sub-team to manufacture essential elements of rope products
- Managing works orders within your team to ensure timely and quality output
- Overseeing machine operators to drive efficiency, safety and a clean working environment
- Full training will be provided
- Certain areas of the factory require hearing protection (provided)
- A rewarding role that transforms raw material into finished product
- This job is ideally suited to veterans as well as those with a background and experience in manufacturing and production

The hours:

- Standard hours are Monday to Thursday 1800-0630, including paid breaks.
- 48 hours per week. Overtime is available.
- Holiday 28 days annually rising to 30 (pro-rata to shift pattern).
- Salary band: Starting at £10.51 per hour, equating to minimum £504.48 per week standard shift hours, rising to £548.64 from 01 April.

**Experience**:

- Manufacturing/Assembly: 3 years (preferred)
- Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel)
- People/Team management: 2 years (preferred)
- Able to rapidly assimilate English Braids business practices to the level required to effectively lead a sub team
- Mentor and train sub team members

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
