**Job Purpose**

**To ensure all customers orders are met first time, every time, on time, in full, and to the required standards. Leading and managing the picking and packing team, in a hands-on way to efficiently and effectively complete all daily tasks ensuring all operations, health and safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times with any deviations identified early and brought back in-line.**

Key Activities
- Complete 100% of own daily rituals and ensure the picking and packing team complete 100% of theirs by checking and following up.
- Ensuring tin cleaning and Greasing every day
- Ensuring forecaster is managed daily and covers volumes with mínimal waste.
- Double checking high risk, difficult recovery rounds and orders to minimise errors.
- Daily spot checks on all packers on random basis unless errors are predominantly from particular, round, order or picker.
- Identifies, agrees and manages contingency freezer stock which includes stock rotation, liaises with bakers to bake the required quantities. (Teacakes/ Loaves)
- Responsible for ensuring all routes are accurate in the RJL system, liaising with the sales admin team regularly to maintain the standard.
- Achieve daily targets and delivery deadlines
- Management of labour cost, staffing, both immediate and long term and creation of all forward looking rota’s covering holidays and other absences and recruitment.
- Liaise with Bakery on all quality issues, agree corrective actions and follow up.
- Liaise with Bakery on all store/customer order fulfilment issues, agree corrective actions and follow up
- Low level maintenance and preventative measures of light industrial bakery equipment, slicers, greasers, carrying out routine (CILT) Cleaning, Inspections, Lubrication and Tightening regimes.
- Manage all communications to the picking/packing team, updating all relevant parties of any issues or changes.
- Support Bakery Manager to achieve and maintain 5-star hygiene rating.
- Assist with all EHO required actions in accordance with the EHO rules and timescales.
- Ensure picking and packing team are trained and signed off for all roles and against all procedures.
- Responsible for all HR procedures and Admin
- Document and train new procedures
- Advise Bakery Manager of any required maintenance.
- Attend daily business meeting with management team
- Attend Weekly Project meeting with Management team
- Any other reasonable request from a director.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: £10.50-£11.25 per hour
