**The Role**
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Employment and Skills Project Officers to join our Economy Team to work within the Opportunity North Somerset Employment and Skills Hub. The project is funded by the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
- Delivered by the Economy Team, you will work with partner organisations across the region to provide support and interventions to help residents improve their employability pathways, aspirations and work readiness through an independent triage and sign-posting service, in addition, providing one to one and group support where required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide information advice and guidance to residents, signposting and/or support according to their employment or training needs
- Developing individual action plans to support employment and skills aspirations and reducing employment barriers through bespoke interventions
- Achieving positive employment and progression outcomes
- Managing a caseload and the associated recording, monitoring, reporting and tracking.

**Valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.**

**Work Style**

- 0-1 day in the office
- Includes field workers who primarily work remotely.
- Comes into the office for meetings or focused work. Virtual connections with the team are essential, with portable technology supporting work on the go.

**About You**
- We are looking for an individual who is passionate about raising aspirations and supporting people to achieve their employment and training needs, and who possesses the following skills and experience:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Significant experience of working with a diverse group of people and a sound understanding of the needs of vulnerable cohorts including those without a level 2 qualification and those facing multiple barriers to learning, volunteering and work
- Significant practical experience of working with service user groups giving rise to a variety of technical skills and sound understanding of the services available, work practices and processes relevant to the role.
- A creative and collaborative problem-solving approach.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to prepare and present evidence clearly and confidently.
- Advice, information, and Guidance (AIG) qualification or significant experience of providing AIG support.
