We are looking for two floating support*staff in our Southend on Sea service. The Southend IHS team require two specialist support workers.

You'll be expected to provide floating support in customer's flats and in the community to people who have experienced entrenched homelessness and have additional complex needs.

Staff will need experience of working with this customer base, mental health, alohol/substance use, trauma and challenging behaviour. They will also need a working knowledge of tenancy sustainment, benefits and utilities for example, as they will be working in customer's homes supporting them to maintain their own tenancies and lead a fulfilling life, working towards increased independence.

The staff should have excellent communication skills and are resilient with a positive, 'can do' attitude. They will be expected to have the ability to form and maintain effective working relationships with our customers, funders, housing providers and external specialist support agencies.

The ability to work well within a team and assist with key working and managing caseloads would also be expected.

The IHS
Individual Housing Support are based in Southend and work across the city, core hours are Monday-Friday 9-5 but willingness to work flexibly outside of those hours when needed is required.
