**Join Our Team Kitchen Assistant - Small Dementia Care Home**

Are you passionate about helping others and enjoy preparing meals? We’re a small, friendly dementia care home looking for a **Kitchen Assistant** to join our team. In this role, you’ll help make mealtimes a warm and enjoyable experience for our residents.

**Hours**: 4pm - 6pm (8 hours)

**Days**: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday

**Your Role Will Include**:
**Basic cooking** - preparing simple, nutritious evening meals

**Food preparation** - chopping, peeling, and readying ingredients

**Documentation** - completing all relevant kitchen paperwork

**Serving & plating** - helping ensure residents receive meals safely and on time

**Cleaning & washing up** - keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and hygienic, including loading and unloading the dishwasher

**Team support** - helping wherever needed to maintain smooth kitchen operations

**Who We’re Looking For**:
Reliable, punctual, and flexible

Able to follow instructions and work as part of a small, close-knit team

Basic knowledge of food hygiene (training will be provided)

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Whether you’re experienced in kitchens or looking to gain hands-on experience in care settings, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a **caring and dedicated team**.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 10 per week
