Our company, a busy contract analytical laboratory based in Teddington, currently has an exciting opportunity for an Analytical Chemist in Microanalysis and Ion Chromatography to join the team.

**Job Title**: Analytical Chemist

**Location**: Teddington, TW11 8NY

**Salary**: £25,000 to £28,000 per annum depending on experience + Discretionary bonus scheme + Benefits (Listed below)

**Hours**: Full-time permanent

Our company works primarily for the pharmaceutical industry in an independent capacity and prides itself in providing a high quality reliable analytical service to its clients.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

- Working in our elemental microanalysis section using a variety of instruments including Elemental analyser, Liquid particle sizer, TOC analyser, DSC and Ion chromatography
- Comply with the Company regulations including in-house health and safety, GMP, GLP and UKAS Quality requirements.
- Able to complete all analytical work within required timeframes with fast turnarounds. The Chromatography Laboratory is a fast-paced environment with numerous competing deadlines; therefore, the Analytical Chemist must have a flexible approach and can-doattitude.

**Required Experience / Qualifications**:

- Experience working in a chemistry laboratory in a technician role or as part of university course

**Additional Knowledge / Experience that would be advantageous**:

- Practical experience using microanalytical or ion chromatography techniques
- Experience with Chromeleon data system
- Highly motivated with an eagerness to learn
- Good practical analytical skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good numerical skills
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Able and willing to work outside normal hours if necessary.
