The acquisition has secured our role as a critical supplier to the next generation of UK defence programmes. As part of this programme of work our plant and equipment will be modernised over the next 10 years, creating new opportunities for the business and our colleagues.

Based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a Head of HR Operations. This role will involve leading a team of 4 (2 direct reports and 2 indirect reports), developing HR processes and driving effective people management strategies.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Effectively manage all processes relating to employee relations, compliance, staffing, and culture.
- Implement the HR plan to support the needs of the business.
- Support in the implement of a new in-house HRIS system.
- Business partnering / coaching senior managers to ensure a consistent approach to HR practices.
- Review all HR processes, procedures, and policies.
- Monitor, analyse and report HR data to enable data driven decisions to be made on HR - driven activities across the business.
- Support with the development and implementation of equity, diversity and inclusion programs.
- Drive SFEL values and behaviours.
- Deliver the Strategy Workforce Plan for transformation within the Operational areas.
- Build relationships with recognised trade unions to promote partnerships, working across the organisation and leading on complex negotiations and disputes.

**About You**

The following relevant skills, knowledge and experience are required.
- Subject matter expert in a Senior HR Operations /ER role.
- Experience of working in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience of working in a Unionised environment.
- Strong employment law knowledge.
- Level 7 CIPD qualified.
- Experience of HRIS system implementations.

**Days/Hours of Work**

37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with flexible start and finish time between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 - 18:00
