Consumables Stores Operative

**Job Overview** **Contract Type**: Permanent, Full Time **Hours**: 37.5 hours per week **Shift Pattern**: Monday - Friday ( 8am - 4:30pm) **Salary**: £9.90 per hour To provide a Managed, Compliant Postal service to Mitie clients, including but not limited to Management of internal/external mail, incoming and outgoing couriers, segregation of all GSK complaint samples, UPS parcel service and ad-hoc requests ensuring full communications and professionalism always. - A good understanding of the Kan ban functions and how to manage the "just in time" supply to the business - Carry out checks on L, E, C block, PMQC Kan Ban areas on daily basis or on the agreed days of the week depending on requirements - Order, Receive, Process and Distribute incoming goods and Ad hoc items as required - Produce weekly/monthly reports for Mitie and the Client via stock boss - Ensure that incoming delivered stock and paperwork conform with administrative requirements - Check that all received goods are undamaged and are examined appropriately according to health & safety and security requirements - Perform perpetual inventory for consumables as per system requirements - Create new Kan ban cards for any new stock lines - Create new Kan ban areas for any new stock lines, where necessary If requested - Operate & Maintain computerised databases to ensure that administrative reports are accurate and complete - Check media levels within L and C Kan Ban areas and send check to departments before 10am Friday mornings and provide stock levels and order requirements as per Media process - Provide support to other departments as requested and reasonable - Carry out, assist with or advise on any request to move items in, around and between business premises on behalf of the client - Operate company vehicles as required following site procedures - Operate GSK company forklifts where necessary following site procedures - as trained - Build relationships with key staff and consistently demonstrate a good customer service interface - To assist in any other reasonable duties as required by the Supervisor or Management team - Be trained to cover in all of the logisitic teams roles including Post room and post role. **Person Specification** - Flexible and proactive - Full drivers' licence - Must Qualify and maintain an IATA certification - Be able to pass a health screening and maintain a Fork lift truck license - Be able to pass an enhanced DBS check
