Trainee Podiatric Surgeon

To be part of a highly motivated team, providing a high standard of clinical care in a highly specialised area.

Providing highly specialist advice regarding Podiatric Surgery to patients, podiatrists, GP's and other Health Care Professionals.

To undertake training in surgical procedures under the direct supervision of the Consultant Podiatric Surgeon and to conduct outpatient clinics.

The Podiatric Surgery trainee will follow the syllabus of the College of Podiatry over an ideally Three-year period with the intention of completing Part 1 and Part 2 surgical examinations ultimately leading to fellowship of the College.

The postholder's role will be based on the standards as set out by the HCPC for podiatry and podiatric surgery. This sets out the expectations of education providers delivering training in podiatric surgery and the knowledge, understanding and skills expected of a podiatrist practicing podiatric surgery that they will demonstrate to complete their training.
