We are working with a large global company who provide testing and inspection services throughout the UK. We are looking for experienced Lighting Technicians to work on highways and construction projects to test lighting and equipment.
**Responsibilities**:
As a Lighting Technician you will join a friendly team carrying out a varied workload. The main purpose of the role is carrying out inspection and testing services, mainly on street lighting for the highways industries across the UK
- Structural inspection and testing of highway lighting columns
- Communicating and liaison with clients and colleagues
- Recording accurately electronic test results to a high standard for reporting
- Working with our accredited systems
- Data collection of highway assets
- Corrosion investigation
Travel to various sites (use of company vehicle)
Hours Mon-Fri 8:15-17:00 although flexibility with working hours will be required
There will be a requirement to work away from home for short periods (days/nights with overtime allowance)
Skills and Qualifications
- Valid driving licence
- Previous experience and interest in the field of work
- HERS ECS card desirable
- HEA NVQ level 2 qualification (however training towards this will be given
- Excellent communication and good team ethic
- You will also be willing to work away from home for short periods (days/nights with overtime allowance)
