The company is looking for an enthusiastic **Store Manager** to join their team.

**About the Company**

Whittakers Schoolwear are a leading school uniform supplier with 10 retail outlets in the north of England. Our aim is to provide a modern and friendly uniform service for parents and schools alike. The Whittakers brand has been synonymous with quality andvalue from the beginning and we are dedicated to maintaining the high standard of service expected from us by parents and schools.

**About the Role**

As a Store Manager with us you will have full accountability for everything within your store, as well as having responsibility for developing sales, stock management and financial accountability. You will be the driving force that ensures success for yourteam in providing the highest level of service to our customers. One of your key roles within the company will be to meet regularly with school Headteachers and school Business Managers, attaining new business as well as retaining current business. To thisend, you will need excellent communicative skills, along with great product knowledge and a desire to maximise sales.

The role will cover our Blackburn town centre branch, however, you will also lead in communications with schools, that are sold from our mill concessions in Nelson and Oswaldtwistle, as well as helping recruit and provide support to our summer staff withinthe mills.

**Skills, Experience & Requisites**:

- Management experience is preferred but not essential.
- You will need the ability to manage availability of stock and to be commercially driven. A strong work ethic is essential.
- You would have use of a small company van, therefore a driving license is essential.
- This role requires a flexible approach, as you will be required to work some late nights and extra hours during the summer time.
