Estimator/surveyor

FIJ Building Services Ltd are a small company based in Torquay, we are looking are now looking for permanent full-time employee or part time to help with the estimating workload and assist on existing projects across the south west and surrounding areas.

The company specialise in New build, Extensions, Refurbishments to domestic/commercial buildings also carrying out heritage works. This position is based in the office.

**Requirements-**
- 10+ years’ experience in Estimating and qualified.
- Experience using Excel
- Professional attitude.
- Being able to work as part of a team.
- Driving License

**Key Responsibilities**
- Analysis of tender documentation, including drawings and technical documents, to prepare estimates. Preparation of subcontract & suppliers' packages, including take-offs.
- Consulting with subcontractors and suppliers to discuss estimates and resolve issues and enquiries.
- Communicating with potential customers, colleagues and suppliers to arrange site visits.
- Travelling to sites to carry out site survey, meeting subcontractors etc.
- Identifying and quantifying cost factors, such as production time and raw material, equipment, and labour expenses
- Analyse quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure pricing requirements are fulfilled.
- Recommending ways to make a product more cost-effective or profitable.
- Submission of tenders.
- Handing over successful projects to building team clearly and concisely.

**Salary/Package**
- Salary and package will be offered based on the right person with the right experience dependent on full / part time employment or self employed
