**Department of Art & Media Technology**
The Department of Art & Media Technology works across Contemporary Art, Curatorial Practices, Game Art, Creative Technology & Computing, Global Media, and Arts & Cultural Management. The relationships between these areas of practice and research are important. The department supports a politically alert and contextually astute, interdisciplinary research environment, in which practice-based, scholarly, and editorial processes are at play.
**About the role**
This is one of a series of new appointments that will enhance research-led education within the Department of Art & Media Technology and extend the international reach of our research and enterprise activities.
You will contribute to teaching in Fine Art, whilst also teaching across the Department of Art & Media Technology in accordance with your specialisms. Your main role will be the programme leadership of our MA in Fine Art.
**About You**
You will demonstrate a commitment to education and an ability to bring your own research to bear on the enhancement of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
You will have current, active knowledge of lens and screen-based media, post-production software, and a broad understanding of the relationships between Fine Art and the digital realm.
You will demonstrate a defined research portfolio commensurate with the field at a national level and offer a strategic and collaborative approach to supporting emergent areas of interest. You’ll be able to evidence high quality research through prominent dissemination of work; offer expertise and sector engagement in the development of methodological thinking, and evidence a commitment to research funding and grant development, including an understanding of working with non-HEI partners and delivering impactful research. The School welcomes high levels of research collaboration and a keenness for interdisciplinary work is an advantage.
