To develop a rapport with patients, to encourage and motivate them to participate in meaningful activity (in either group work or individual work)
- To contribute to the development and implementation of a creative and innovative activities program responsive to the varying needs of the patient group
- To work within the multi-disciplinary to ensure post holder is aware of each individual patients care and treatment pathway and all staff are working towards the same goals
- To provide instruction (verbal and non-verbal) to patients on a range of activities as part of the activities program
- To develop a rapport with patients, to encourage and motivate them to participate in meaningful activity (in either group work or individual work)
- To contribute to the development and implementation of a creative and innovative activities program responsive to the varying needs of the patient group
- To maintain and update activity plan on the ward and allocate time to organise activity over a seven-day period and for periods of absence
- To observe general behaviour, abilities and responses of patients and report them verbally to the multi-disciplinary team and within the electronic patient record system RiO
- To co-facilitate therapeutic group work with patients

- To plan and organise own time in relation to attending relevant meetings and facilitating the activity timetable
- To plan group activities and resources needed such as time, space and any equipment.
