We’re looking for a driven, experienced **Procurement Administrator** to join our successful team based at our Portakabin Headquarters in York (you can choose to work from 1-2 days per week).
As a Procurement Administrator you will provide support and guidance to the wider business as part of the Procurement Help Desk. Covering areas such as Procurement knowledge, training and advice in line with Procurement Best Practice.
General administration for the Central Procurement team including supplier onboarding checks and new part number validation and costing.
**Role Responsibilities**
- Processing Requisitions: Manage and process requisitions, ensure good and services are received to the timescales required.
- Resolving Invoice Queries: Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues relating to invoices. Including relevant reporting.
- Request for Pricing on Products: New / Current by obtaining pricing information, lead times and MOQs to agreed specifications and scope with approved / preferred suppliers.
- Running Reports for Spend Analysis for Category Managers: Generate and run detailed spend analysis reports to provide Category Managers with insights for budget management and strategic planning.
- Validating Documents Submitted for New Suppliers: Review and validate all documents submitted by potential new suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards and adherence to Portakabin Vendor Onboarding process.
- Develop a collaborative working culture with all business units and head office functions to promote the sharing of knowledge and best practice.
- Weekly invoice reporting supplied on time to prior agreed schedule.
- Cover for Central Procurement Officer throughout annual leave / sickness.
- Adhering to all Purchasing processes and Procurement best practice.
- New Materials priced within the defined SLA timescales.
- Management and Controls of the Supplier Engagement system. Including accurate maintenance of SAP vendors.
- Support in the development and maintenance of the Procurement Knowledge Bank.
- Attendance of required Audits. Including awareness of policy and process locations to provide applicable evidence.
**Essential Criteria For this Role**
- Excellent time management, Highly Organised with strong analytical and prioritisation skills.
- Working in a fast paced demanding environment.
- Experience within a Procurement environment.
- Problem Solving / Innovative approach.
- Taking Responsibility - owning initiatives and issues.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Prior experience of ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
- GCSE Maths and English.
- Strong analytical skills.
