European Project Lead

TREAT-NMD have a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead on a 4 year Horizon Europe IHI Project. The perfect fit for this role would be someone who has project management experience, specifically relating to European Commission and Innovate UK projects, and is able to work in a fast-paced multi stakeholder environment.

**Horizon Europe IHI Project**:
The Horizon Europe project is a pioneering initiative dedicated to gathering real-world demographic and clinically relevant data from individuals affected by neuromuscular diseases. Through the collaborative efforts of the project consortium, we aim to develop the Interactium, a new innovative approach to patient data that will seamlessly align registry-reported data with Patient-Reported Outcome/Experience Measures, alongside other data sources such as wearables and Internet of Things devices. This innovative collaboration will culminate in the synthesis of comprehensive, holistic data, fostering improved outcomes, informed decision-making, and an accelerated pace of innovation. This collaborative effort is poised to benefit a spectrum of stakeholders, including patients, regulators, and industry players.

**The Role**

**Salary**:Band 6 - starting from £47,142.06 (dependant on experience).

As the European Project Lead, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of TREAT-NMD's Work Package, Work Package 5 (Interactium E-health Platform Build) as well as Work Package 1 (Project Coordination) where TREAT-NMD will be acting as the Scientific Coordinator to ensure the scientific content of the work packages is in line with the project deliverables, milestones, and tasks agreed with IHI.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Lead on the project management of Work Package 5 (Interactium E-health Platform Build), overseeing the design, build, testing, and launch of the Interactium, in accordance with the rules and regulations outlined in the Horizon Europe Model Grant Agreement (MGA) and the Work Package objectives.
- Addressing any contractual issues, coordinating project deliverables and milestones, ensuring timely submission of content to the Project Coordinator for reports, and handling any ad-hoc queries throughout the project's duration.
- Liaising with the European Commission (EC) and Innovate UK, under the UK Government Grant Guarantee, where required.
- Working closely with the Project Coordinator on aspects relating to Work Package 1 (Project Coordination) to ensure that the scientific outputs of Consortiums' key tasks, deliverables and milestones are in line with what was agreed with the EC.
- Create and maintain the Project Plan to ensure all deadlines for TREAT-NMD’s work packages are met.
- Coordination with other Work Package leads, as required, to ensure that key deliverables are met in line with the scientific objectives.
- Responsible for the overall tracking, allocation management and submitting of costs for TREAT-NMD and its role as Key Contributing partner, with support from Finance.

**Essential Skills & Qualifications**
- Degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Project Management qualification
- Proven experience working on EU, Innovate UK or Horizon Europe projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently
- Experience managing and working with budgets
- Ability to prioritise key tasks, meet strict deadlines and to manage conflicting priorities
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
