**Overview of Responsibilities**
**Who are we looking for?**
A great opportunity has arisen here at UKAEA for a Workshop Coordinator to join the Electronics, Control & Instrumentation Group. The Electronics workshops within the Electronics, Control & Instrumentation Group provide build, test and repair capabilities of electronic assemblies/sub-assemblies and control & instrumentation cubicles for UKAEA projects and programmes. Work within the Electronics workshops consists of a broad spectrum of electronic and electrical technologies to support the wide range of plant on the Culham site from many different manufacturers and of varying ages.
Part of your role will be to provide coordination of new and ongoing tasks undertaken by the Electronics, Control & Instrumentation Group within the Electronics workshops working across UKAEA projects and programmes. You will oversee the day-to-day work in the Electronics workshops keeping up to date on task progress. You will also be required to lead the running of the spares database system and prepare and present the training required for system users.

**What will you be responsible for?**
- Reviewing new and ongoing task requests from multiple customers. Assisting Line Management in assigning tasks appropriately. Overseeing the day-to-day work in the Electronics workshops keeping up to date on task progress
- Promoting available Electronics Workshop facilities to UKAEA stakeholders.
- Leading the running of the spares database system, including identifying and sourcing the necessary software and hardware. Prepare and present the training required for system users
- Identifying potential problems of procuring long-lead-time items and implement strategies for meeting the planned requirement
- The Workshop administration. Maintaining records using essential databases, spreadsheets, and paper-based systems

**Qualifications**
**Essential skills, experience and competence required**
- An administrative or document control background in engineering
- Previous experience processing requisitions and purchases
- Experience of managing and maintaining a parts inventory database
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- IT literate, fluent in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Flexible and able to work across teams and the business where necessary
**Desirable skills, experience and competence**
- HNC/Apprentice or equivalent in Business, Science or Engineering related discipline
- Previous experience with Unit4 for procurement
