Motor Recovery Claims Team Leader

**Motor Recovery Claims Team Leader - Kent - Hybrid up to £35k per annum plus bonus, customer services bonus incentives, parking, onsite fully equipped gym and fully funded support towards industry exams.**
Due to growth, an established Claims Management Organisation providing a first class Claims Management service to the Insurance Industry throughout the UK, are now seeking an experienced Motor Claims Team Leader to join their rapidly expanding Motor Division.As a Motor Claims Team Leader you will manage a team of Claims Handlers ensuring that claims are proactively managed and within agreed timescales within the team.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Manage a team of Motor Claims Handlers
- Ensure the team provide a world class services to policyholders and ensure the smooth running of the claims to enable to claims to be settled in the shortest possible time
- Be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of an effective new claim notification and liability claims process
- Provide encouragement to team members, communicating team goals and identify areas for training
- Lead through example by providing quality customer services, including managing a small portfolio, answering customer enquiries and effectively handle customer complaints
- Monitor team performance ensuring weekly SLA targets and KPI’s are met
- Assist management with hiring processes and new team member training
- Handle complaints in line with company and FOS guidelines
- Review payments for authorisation with set financial boundaries
- Audit claims and calls
- Conduct team meetings
- Carry out 1:1’s to discuss performance and carry out annual appraisals
**About you**:
- Motor Claims handling experience within the Motor Insurance Industry, ideally within a Liability team for an Insurer
- Team Leadership experience managing a team of claims handlers
- Exceptional customer services experience within a customer service or call centre environment
- Previous experience of working in Insurance claims recovery
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- The ability to display active listening skills and be able to deal with sensitive situations
- Be confident and be able to work under pressure working to tight deadlines
- Thorough understanding of Road Traffic Act, Subrogation, Indemnity, Complaints Process, Data Protection Act, Principles of Insurance
- Excellent PC skills and comfortable using bespoke in-house systems
This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. Hybrid working 3 days office, 2 days home.
