An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a **care assistant** assisting residents at our 26 bed residential home.

We currently have positions available for 2 x part-time carers (24 hours) Our day starts at 0700 and ends at 1900hrs. Shifts will be a combination of 6 or 12 hour shifts.

**Main Function**

To provide care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager.

**Main Duties**:

- Develop effective working relationships with the other employees within the home.
- Support an open, positive and inclusive working culture.
- Participate in the development of the home’s policies.
- Participate in evaluation of the home against agreed organisational goals, business, and quality objectives.
- Work to establish effective employer-employee relationships.
- Ensure Resident rights are protected.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily care notes
- Ensure care plans are up to date
- Assist residents with personal care needs
- Promote person centered care of the residents
- Encourage innovative methods for the delivery of care.
- Encourage health promotion within care strategies.
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- Promote a positive image for residency and employment within the home.
- Minimise legal risks.
- Work in a cost-effective manner.
- To maintain care skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice.
