Due to further contract wins and exciting growth within Smart Choice Metering, we are back again in the hunt for the next set of exciting and hungry Trainee Engineers for our successful Smart Meter Engineer Training Programme, where you will achieve a Level2 Diploma in Smart Metering (Dual Fuel).

The training will take place in our Training Academy based in Manchester and will require you to attend for a total of 6 weeks. You will then spend 7 weeks out in the field being mentored by our team of fully qualified engineers, who will show you how toput the theory you learned and putting this into practice, providing the guidance, support, and practical knowledge to help you work towards your qualification.

**Here’s what else we offer alongside the training;**
- Fully funded qualification*
- Permanent job role with Smart Choice Metering
- Basic starting training salary of £21,000*, this increases after 2 months in the field and then £36,000 after a full 12 months in the business
- Accommodation provided for the duration of training in our academy
- Daily meal allowance for the duration of training
- Company van, tools, PPE, fuel card, mobile phone and tablet provided upon completion of the academy-based training

**What we need from you**:

- A - C grade in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Full clean valid driving licence
- Availability to join the training programme in October / November intakes
- Availability to be based Sunday to Friday each week in Manchester to attend the classroom-based training
- Flexibility during mentoring period to stay away from home Sunday to Friday, location/s TBC
- A willingness to learn and enthusiasm to develop in a new industry
