We are looking for someone to join our team as a school caretaker. The role is operated in a split-shift pattern, arriving to site in the morning to open up and undertake duties, before leaving the site and returning in the afternoon to perform further duties and lock up the premises.

The hours will be 37.5 hours per week.

Your role will involve you being a key part on the school team. This is an active role which will require you to integrate well with the existing School team. Your duties will include:

- Cleaning the site
- Maintaining the buildings and grounds
- Supporting with Health & Safety requirements
- Support with site security, including unlocking and locking the premises each day
- Moving tables, chairs, and deliveries according to the school's needs.
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the school children

Overall Conduct:

- To work positively and inclusively within the school community to be part of a workplace that does not discriminate against people on the grounds of their age, sexuality, religion or belief, race, gender, or disabilities
- To work flexibly in the interests of Top Marks. This may include undertaking other duties if these are appropriate to the employee’s background, skills, and abilities. Where this occurs, there will be consultation with the employee and a necessary personal development will be considered.

**Qualifications, skills and experience required**
- Clean DBS record
- Ability to work a split shift (morning and afternoon)
- Ability to work without supervision
- Ability to solve problems effectively
- Strong work ethic
- Reliable and personable
- Skills and experiences in repairs and maintenance, cleaning, facilities or any other relevant field

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour

- Cleaning, Janitorial or Maintenance: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving License (preferred)
- Enhanced DBS Check (preferred)
