We are currently recruiting for a Nightshift General Operative to run operations for a contract with a key customer, Howdens at our site in Erith.

**Salary**: £27,744.88 plus £1800 per annum nightshift allowance

Shift Pattern: Monday
- Friday, 40 hours a week between the hours of 11:00 and 08:30 am

Key responsibilities:

- Receiving, picking, putting away, replenishment and dispatch. Participating in general warehouse duties where manual handling would be involved in the process.
- Continuous Improvement
- Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service
- Communication
- Ensure any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity
- Ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including absence, performance, standards of behaviour, taking due consideration of company values.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, escalating any concerns to your line manager at the earliest opportunity
- Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, raising any defects to the Line Manager

Key requirements
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Previous warehouse and manual handling experience including handling goods as part of a two-person team (worktops and fire doors)
- Awareness of manual handling techniques
- Confidence in using IT systems
- Ability to withstand pressure and work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Good level of communication, including a good understanding of both written and verbal English
