Production Scheduler

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels against forecast and plan production orders to meet customer deliveries along with adequate stocks - production MTO.
- In close co-operation with the Sales & Production teams, create, monitor and revise production plans for all or part of the business’ portfolio.
- Production of a timely production plan for both weekly and daily planning.
- Communicate availability issues to the wider business as required.
- Measure and report conformance to production plans to enable the business to maintain customer service level whilst minimising obsolescence.
- Establish close working relationships with the production department in order to improve efficiency and optimise capacity.
- The Production Planner should be able to react swiftly to changes within the factory.
- Closely co-operate with all departments and inform changes are made to the production plan or needs to be amended
- Meet requirements of customer’s time and method of shipment and or organize adequate shipment facilities for the products.
- Laisse, develop and implement plans (follow existing procedures) to ensure key raw and packing materials used in the manufacturing process are ordered, received, inspected, stocked, and replenished in the most economical and efficient manner.
- In this respect, development of specific and accurate stock control methods, Economic Order Quantities, stockholding policies, and alternative /back up sourcing are to be built into any purchasing procedures and product stock holding.
- Maintain and provide accurate and timely data in respect of raw/packing materials labor /machine time and other related cost elements to enable meaningful cost accounting and variance analysis vs. pre-set budget costs.
- Participate and actively contribute to the company’s overall strategic planning and steering committee meetings.
