We are looking for someone to define what dynamic, changing visitor experiences at our places should look like in future. You’ll set the direction for big national seasonal moments; you’ll shape priorities for growing commercial ticketed experiences; you’llidentify opportunities to diversify our visitor programmes to be more relevant to a wider range of audiences; and you’ll inspire and support regional and property teams to develop distinctive local programmes relevant to the communities they serve.
What it's like to work here You’ll be part of the national Experience Development Team: a small team which sets the direction for the future of experiences outdoors, at cultural heritage properties and through visitor programming. This matrix team works across all areas of the organisationto establish a truly shared direction and priorities for delivery.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree remote working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. Typically your time would be split between our HeadOffice, flexible locations and various locations across the UK.
What you'll be doing You’ll need the energy, vision, brilliant leadership and relationship management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to think both creatively and practically in order to help us design engaging and relevant visits that genuinely meet audience needs.You’ll also need the commercial understanding to help us ensure that our offer is sustainable. This role offers you the opportunity to influence at a high level across other areas of the organisation: creating a shared vision for the future of visitor programmingand the roadmap for delivery so teams across the organisation can turn that vision into reality.

Who we're looking for Joining us from a high-level role, preferably with a background in the recreational, cultural or visitor attractions sectors, you are:
- A leader with significant experience and an impressive track record of developing new products and programmes for visitors, in multi-disciplinary environments/teams
- Confident and capable influencing and building relationships with leaders, partners, and teams who you’ll hand over delivery to
- A strategic thinker, able spot and develop opportunities for the Trust
- Confident understanding business models and planning, and constructing business cases
- Full of creativity, able to inspire others to drive forward new ideas and approaches
- Led by audience, able build and share a deep understanding audience and market insight and use this to inform your work
