Retail shop / Store assistant - Animal feed & Tack

About our store**:A very friendly **animal feed and tack store for large to small animals specialising in all their needs from food to bedding, first aid to general daily care. You’re not just selling products you’re helping likeminded animal lovers find the best for their beloved pets and wildlife.

Our business can be fast paced and will require much lifting and carrying. Our customer service is critical and is responsible for exceeding our customers expectations daily, while delivering a high standard of pet and animal care as well as sales of accessories and equipment.
What is required from you:
Knowledge & Advice: you will ideally be able to offer advice on equine products for both horse and rider and/or Dog, Cat, Wild animal, Poultry, and small holding (training will be given).
Customer Service: You’ll be welcoming customers and often their pets into our store. Ensuring that the customer has a positive shopping experience. Speaking to the customer with confidence about products and making sure that they found everything that they were looking for. Being able to adapt quickly from cashier to phone to being on the shop or warehouse floor and being able to help customers by helping them take items to their car.
Merchandising and replenishment: restocking / replenishing, stock rotation and unloading deliveries is vital to making sure our shelves remain full wherever possible. Making sure the store is kept clean and tidy with general cleaning.
Details: We try to be as flexible as possible and ideally you would be willing to provide holiday or sickness cover on occasion too.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £7.68-£11.44 per hour
