Licensing Officer
Location: Cotswolds, this role will require regular travel to support all three districts (Cirencester, West Oxfordshire & Forest of Dean).

**About the role**
As a Licensing Officer, your responsibilities will include conducting statutory consultations, managing and attending committees and hearings. You'll also collaborate with external partners such as the Police and County Council, to undertake investigations and enforcement actions, including serving notices and giving evidence in court when necessary.

You will carry out site visits, work to tight deadlines managing your own time and workload.
You will need experience in all matters of licensing legislation and a full working knowledge of the Licensing Act 2003.
**Responsibilities..**
- Deal with complex service requests, which may require detailed knowledge of a specific functional area across the organisation.
- Maintain an understanding of appropriate legislation, policy, procedure, business requirements and guidelines.
- Ensure all relevant customer and company information is captured and recorded accurately.
- Planning and prioritising workloads in order to meet agreed short term objectives.
- Carry out duties with discretion, integrity and maintain confidentiality.
- Understand and demonstrate commitment in delivering the key performance indicators within the function.
**You will need**
- A minimum qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3 or A level, and three years relevant experience. Preferably an animal qualification level 3 for inspection of license activities involving animals.
- In-depth knowledge of licensing legislation, particularly the Licensing Act 2003
- Knowledge and experience in assessing complex situations and carrying out inspections.

**Special Conditions**
- Ability to travel, with a full UK Driving Licence
