Export Supervisor

This is a mobile role, visiting various cold stores used by the company, meaning there will be requirement to travel using own car. Working patterns are Monday to Friday - 40 hours (Flexibility to cover overtime)

The rates of pay are: £14.15

Main Responsibilities
- To ensure export orders are correctly loaded and dispatched ensuring adherence to required national and international specifications, to ensure efficient and correctly certified transport of product to European destinations.
- To audit and report on product held in cold store
- Regular visits to all cold stores utilized by the company
- Working with the Operations Director meet efficient export schedules
- Ensure lorries are correctly loaded and all product is correctly certified for export destination.
- Ensure correct control of temperatures on all exportable product
- Establish and maintain relationships with cold store operators and Vet’s to facilitate effective communication
- Establish and maintain customer relationship to effectively address customer queries
- Follow all safe-working practices, halting any unsafe working practices.
- To ensure that all areas of training in basic food hygiene, health and safety and product quality are adhered to.
- To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the factory and unit, these may not be office and/or admin based and may involve working on the production line/yard areas.
- A good understanding of the supply chain/chain of custody linked to products of animal origin
- Attention to detail
- Punctual - adhering to all deadlines linked to export deliveries
- Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally (with suppliers, customer depot teams and officials).
- Excellent computer skills with good understanding of the Microsoft office packages
- Level 2 basic food safety
- Level 2 H&S
- Powered pallet truck license or willingness to learn
- Requirement to travel using own transport
