Vehicle Rental Advisor/supervisor

We are currently looking to add a Vehicle Rental Advisor/Supervisor.

**About the role**

Working closely with management, you’ll work with our current team to maintain and improve an efficient and profitable vehicle rental company, part of a family-owned automotive group.

This is a highly responsible customer service role requiring excellent organisation and strong communication skills. You will be expected to adapt to a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

**Day-to-day duties**
- answer questions from customers about prices and which vehicles are available
- take bookings and explain the terms of rental agreements
- complete paperwork, update computer records and take payments
- record a car's condition and make notes of any existing bumps or scratches
- explain and demonstrate any special features
- check mileage and inspect for damage on returned vehicles
- do customer 'call-backs' to check their satisfaction with the service
- provide ongoing service and sales support to regular business accounts
- chasing invoices due for payment in conjunction with the accounts dept.
- general office administration and organisation

**Additional Duties**
- Overseeing customer facing operations, promoting excellent customer service at all times, and effectively dealing with any customer queries or complaints.
- Actioning and delegating tasks where appropriate, while supporting management in the day-to-day running of the company.
- Motivating staff to meet daily cash targets and assessing their training needs.
- Liaising with internal and external organisations to promote good relationships between suppliers and inter group companies.
- Supporting management with rotas to ensure adequate staff cover.
- Promoting great customer service both in your role and within the Group.
- Working towards maximising income and minimising expenditure.
- Monitoring the customer database for correct input of information.
- Competitor awareness, price comparisons and awareness of local promotions.
- Reporting and providing information to the management
- Creating a positive branch work environment, promoting a good working relationship with the branch network and support functions
- Maintaining fleet levels and regularly monitoring mileage levels.
- Implementing new procedures as set by management and ensuring they continue to be followed.
- Disposal of rental vehicles.

- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Proven experience of Vehicle Rental with knowledge of Light Commercial Vehicles would be an advantage
- A full driving licence held for a minimum of one year is essential.

**Salary**: £20,512.88-£30,000.00 per year
