Freightserve recruitment are looking for an experienced Multi-Modal Freight Forwarder for a fast growing niche sector Freight Forwarder dealing with Time Critical shipments.

Job Description:

- We are a rapidly growing organisation in the diverse industry of Aerospace related services which includes leasing, repairs, exchange components, and the brokering of equipment parts around the world. We are looking for very much an individual with a mustdo, can attitude and someone also ideally from an SME background that has worked in ALL departments of the Logistics industry. Import, Export, (Customs Entries on NCTS / C.H.I.E.F / ASM / and now CDS for Imports etc.. Cross Trade, Air, Road, Ocean, Rail, Warehousing,Insurance, Documentation, Accounts.

**Duties and Responsibilities:

- Book transport with hauliers. Knowledge and relationships your own local hauliers will be a great advantage.
- Handle the coordination of freight (Road, Air or Ocean)
- Handle all operational aspects of import and export file management
- Arrange customs clearance of both export and import shipments
- Liaise with third party hauliers for planning any additional capacity
- Produce a range of freight documentation including AWB's and Bills of Lading
- Build and maintain a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise with all relevant parties to ensure that expectations are met during the movement of cargo

** Freight Forwarding experience essential (Multi Modal advantageous)
- Experience within a similar Freight Forwarding role is desirable
- Knowledge of Import & Export procedures / processes is desirable
- Previous experience of using freight forwarding systems such as Box Top and Cargo Wise
- Proven experience of rate negotiation with both clients and third parties
- Strong commercials skills and business acumen are necessary as is the ability to identify and maximize opportunity
- Results driven with a measured and consistent approach with the ability to inspire and motivate
- Must have a 'can do' attitude
- Presentable, polite and demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Competent decision making
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
