On behalf of our client, Hive Healthcare are seeking a experienced Support workers to join a Positive Behaviour Support Service (PBS) which consists of 2 dwellings, each for four men, located in Lisburn. The service provides a Person-Centred approach through supported living solutions to service users with Learning Disabilities and associated needs.
- Assist with activities of daily living and facilitate inclusion in a broad range of activities. Follow and assist with identified personal care and support needs of service users.
- Complete and maintain CPI Safety Intervention training and use the techniques, where

appropriate.
- Adhere to the standards set by RQIA, Supporting People, HSCT and NISCC; as well as Adult Safeguarding protocols.

**Hours-** 8pm-8am, including weekends.

12-, 24- and 36-hour contracts available.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure that all care and support is service user focused and upholds the principles of respect, privacy, dignity, fulfilment, independence, and choice.
- Enable new service users’ to be inducted into their home and the local community, including

introduction to neighbours as appropriate.
- Assisting service users to establish, maintain and retain relationships with families, carers and significant others.
- Support Service Users with recreational/social/ educations needs and wishes.
- Be fully involved with statutory multidisciplinary teams and assist with assessment and review of service users’ needs.
- Participate in supporting the physical and personal needs of service users. Including personal care, nutritional and dietary needs which includes support with the purchasing, preparation of meals, arranging and facilitating attendance at medical appointments.
- Establish goals with the service users on an individual basis to maximise their independent living potential.
- Participate in monitoring, reviewing and supporting individual service users’ skills and needs.
- When applicable, ensure that medication is stored and administered correctly.
- Follow individual Positive Behaviour Support Plans and report any changes or events which may impact on the care and support being provided.
- Report and manage all incidents in line with the MAPA and PBS guidelines.
- Record and report any Adverse Incidents/Accidents and potential or actual safeguarding concerns

immediately.
- Encourage service users’ opinions and suggestions to be listened to and their personal matters dealt with in a sensitive manner.

**Essential Criteria**
- 1 years’ experience of providing care / support.
- Working knowledge of the needs of people with learning disabilities.
- Demonstratable understanding and knowledge on behaviours that challenge.
- Right to work in the UK
- 2 Satisfactory References
- one must be from current or most recent employer
- Enhanced Access NI check
- NISCC Registration
- Ability to undertake and maintain CPI Safety Intervention Training.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.93-£13.35 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 36 per week
