**LOR Catering Assistant Job Description**

**Job Outline**:
Provide catering support in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages plus related catering duties.

**Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- Prepare the dining area for service, which may include moving and/or setting up furniture and trolleys, cleaning putting away after service.
- Prepare the service area, hot cupboards and other equipment as instructed.
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages as instructed.
- Cleaning duties will include; washing dishes, cutlery, crockery, and kitchen equipment.
- Inform the Unit Supervisor of any defects in equipment or premises.
- There may be a requirement to work in another catering contract establishment within a reasonable geographical distance and given reasonable notice. Driving license preferred but not necessary.
- Assist in receiving deliveries and stock movements; this includes tidying deliveries and following stock rotation procedures as required, loading, and unloading food, tableware, and catering supplies onto and off catering vehicles and on site.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 months experience within the last 5 years (preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene (preferred)
- Proficient level of English both verbal and written (essential)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Positive work attitude
- Provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK
