VJ Technology are recruiting for an experienced 3.5 Tonne Driver to cover London and Southeast area. The purpose of the role will be to collect products to and from our customers and suppliers in an efficient, safe and timely manner and carry out warehouse duties when required.

As the face of the company, you will be expected to be polite and courteous and act with complete professionalism at all times.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accurate and timely movement and delivery/collection of our customers and suppliers’ products.
- Loading and unloading product.
- Load vehicle (where required) checking all relevant goods are loaded and organised to maximise efficiency at delivery sites. Ensure the vehicle is loaded safely within legal operating limits.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and that us of any point of delivery/collection technology i.e., Handheld Technology is used with attention to detail.
- Complete a daily vehicle check, ensuring the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition and legally compliant. Report any repairs needed immediately Comply with all legal requirements such as Transport rules, the Road Traffic Act, Highway code, speed limits and DVSA legislation (related to use of a tachographs, and drivers hours regulations.
- Attend any essential training to carry out the driver’s role.
- Receive goods inwards, unload and store in the correct location using manual handling techniques.
- Processing orders according to sales requirements using systems and technology.
- Sign for deliveries and receipt of stock and report breakages/damages.
- Carry out Warehouse duties when required.
- Maintain the warehouse and stock in a clean and tidy condition.
- Work in a manner which ensures the safety of self and colleagues.
- Any other reasonable duties within the individual’s capabilities.
- Moving product using manual, power operated pump trucks and forklifts (training provided if necessary).

**Experience & Capabilities**
- Licence required: B (3500KG)
- UK Driving Licence with less than 6 points
- Numerate & Basic IT Skills
- Knowledge of basic health & safety requirements (preferable)
- Previous Yard or Warehouse experience (preferable)
- Flexible, adaptable and receptive to new ideas
- Can-do approach to work
- Strong communication skills
- Good team working skills
- A flexible approach to working patterns and start times as dictated by the needs of the business
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Follows necessary health, safety and hygiene related rules and procedures
- Friendly and professional manner
- Excellent time management skills

**Package and benefits**:

- Salary £25,500 per annum
- Working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week with 1-hour break
