Office based in Battersea

10-16 hours a week available. Monday - Friday

Job term: contracted for 6 months with the view of becoming permanent thereafter.

DBS level: Enhanced DBS - will be issued during induction

Responsible for: Supporting children and families access Sen Talk service.

**About Sen Talk**

Sen Talk CIC is a London-based non-profit organization with an aim to provide better outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs. We are dedicated to transforming social and emotional determinants of well-being and promoting societal inclusion at-large for autistic children and children with attention deficit disorders and their families.

**About the role**

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with experience working with children and families, to join our vibrant team based in Battersea in a brand-new exciting opportunity. The role will involve working across both children and parent service teams, to assess the needs of the family and helping them remove barriers and constraints to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Good working knowledge of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)

Advanced understanding of Safeguarding children with disabilities

Excellent Safeguarding and Child protection practice

Proficient IT skills

1-year minimum experience working with children and families

Emphatic approach to working with families
- non-judgemental attitude

Good understanding of Education Health Care Plans

Good understanding of SEND law and the Equalities Act

Previous experience of working with vulnerable families or children in need

Excellent communication skills
- both written and verbal

Relevant SEND qualifications or additional studies

**Job Types**: Part-time, Contract

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
