**Youth Sports Coach - Tower Hamlets**
**3 - 6+ Month Ongoing Contract**

**Essentials**:
- It is essential that you have a relevant sports coach related qualification(s) as well as recent experience of working with young people and stakeholders as part of delivering a diverse range of sports-based activities. Sports highlighted as priority areas for the Council include hockey, basketball, athletics, girls football, athletics and cricket.
- We are looking for coaches qualified and to take a lead in each of these sports.
- Background in youth work or teaching
- Experience of delivering progressive sport based sessions
- Experience of working with young people in a sport specific environment
**Job Role**:
- This role will involve working with a diverse range of young people across several settings throughout the borough including community sports clubs, schools and youth centres providing a high-quality sports coaching offer to young people with varying abilities, skills and needs.
- Through developing and delivering an engaging sport-based youth work curriculum you will ensure that more young people in Tower Hamlets realise the benefits of taking part in sport and physical activity as part of their development and outcomes.
- This role will report into a Senior Youth Worker. The working hours will range of daytime, evenings and weekends in accordance with operational need therefore the ability and flexibility to fulfil this requirement is necessary.
