Are you a transport planner looking for your next step? Do you like the sound of making a difference on a key contract for one of the biggest and fastest-growing names in the logistics industry? Are you ready for a challenge?

We’re currently looking for an experienced **Transport Planner** to join us on our Iceland network, based out of Warrington. You’ll carry out central planning activity for our six depots based across the UK.

You’ll be working any 5 from 6, Monday to Saturday, rotating start time between 6am and 8am to 4pm. In the build up to “peak” period in December the shift pattern is any 5 from 7.

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to **£36,000 per annum**. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. **What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Carry out the day-to-day transport planning for multiple operations across our Iceland network
- Work closely with depot operational teams to review and refine delivery schedules, ensuring maximum efficiency and value
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly, and annual statistical information to aid planning and implementation activity
- Liaise and engage with stores and sites, providing accurate and effective information to enable optimisation and process improvement

**What you need to succeed at GXO**:

- Strong previous experience as a Transport Planner within a large, complex distribution environment
- Good working knowledge of transport planning systems, Paragon is a must
- A solid understanding of transport compliance, such as working time directive and driver regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels
