Are you a creative, compassionate, and energetic person with a passion for bringing joy to others? We are looking for a dedicated **Activities Coordinator** to join Thomas Knight Nursing Home. **About the Role**

As our **Activities Coordinator**, you will be at the heart of our residents’ daily lives, designing and delivering engaging programmes, outings, and events that reflect their interests, life stories, and wishes. You will also work closely with families, helping maintain strong relationships and supporting our residents in enjoying hobbies and activities that make them feel valued and fulfilled.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and organise engaging activities that enhance residents’ well-being and enjoyment, using provided Sparkle resources.
- Create schedules, newsletters, and notices to keep residents and families informed about upcoming events.
- Help residents stay connected with loved ones through letters, Skype, FaceTime, and other communication tools.
- Coordinate events within the allocated budget and encourage staff participation.
- Ensure all activities are tailored to the interests, abilities, and life histories of our residents.
- Foster relationships with the local community, bringing in visitors and entertainment.
- Use assessment tools to design activities that celebrate residents’ strengths and abilities.
- Keep accurate records of activities and update care plans as needed.
- Be a champion for the well-being and happiness of those in our care.

**About You**:

- Passionate about working with older adults and making a positive impact.
- Creative, enthusiastic, and full of ideas for fun and engaging activities.
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Confident in planning and leading group activities and events.
- A great communicator who enjoys bringing people together.
- Able to work within a budget and think resourcefully.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.60 per hour
