**What you will be doing**
The purpose of the role is to lead the identification of the potential for improvement, carry out desktop design, implement a feasibility study and lead the delivery of solutions on Calm systems. These solutions will be in the field or across production sites(Reservoirs, Water treatment works, Water booster stations) that directly impact achieving key operational and regulatory targets. This role involves working closely with senior stakeholders in Production, Water Control, Strategic Control, Networks, and AssetManagement, while drafting calm operation solutions and business cases to push through the Directly managed capital or Stage gate process for delivery with Capital Delivery.- Lead in a regional area on the Calm systems programme identifying opportunities for both leakages and burst main avoidance/savings.
- Initiate, identify and resolve various anomalies in the clean water system which could. Support the System Optimisation Team in leading delivery of activities, in liaisons with various partners,
- A key requirement is to manage the ongoing ZPA programme to close off any anomaly that has been raised. Part of this work involves desktop modelling being carried out in the office and then delivering the solution in the field.
- Deliver key strategic system reconfigurations to optimise/rezone identified areas ensuring no negative impact is noticed to either customer or leakage strategy for that area.
- Lead analysis of long-term hydraulic system issues such as low flows or issues with Reservoir turnovers, area integrity, and network resilience providing modelling reports for solutions.
- Deliver technical input when identifying, designing, and commissioning key operational assets that are being installed to help the business achieve its key operational and regulatory targets.
- Support Strategic, Systems, and Leakage Optimisation Engineers formulating wider strategies for managing pressures, flows, reservoir levels, and pumping regimes in conjunction with the water control center - across the whole TW estate.
- Evaluate and analyse operational information, understanding data integrity difficulties, to resolve basic problems - such as site schematics for Service Reservoirs
- Update, via various mediums, all relevant teams, and coordinate projects.
- Carry out Health and Safety audits (SHE6) on various staff working on Systems Optimisation led projects to ensure everyone is working to current HSE standards.
**We are looking for you to**:
- **Comprehensive and strong ability to review and interpret complex data**, draw conclusions, make recommendations, and informed decisions on a range of projects on strategic programmes.
- **The ability to lead** and track anomalies with regards to the Calm systems programme identifying opportunities for both leakage and burst main avoidance/savings.
- **Awareness of CDM**andextensive experience concerning industry best practices regarding valve operations, water quality, leakage management, and mains commissioning.
- Strong character with proven ability to **build and maintain effective working relationship**s, along with good influencing and negotiation skills.
- **Be an excellent communicator**who canengage and collaborate with colleagues to understand their challenges and needs, and present business cases at senior stakeholder meetings.
- **Have excellent IT skills, and strong numeric and data analytical skills**togenerate accurate and detailed plans.
- **Have excellent coordination skills** and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
- **Ability to travel**across our operational area was required for onsite investigations or site meetings.
