Our client based in the Berkhamsted area is looking for a Director of Food and Beverage to join their team working in the beautiful stately home which is set in an such an idyllic setting.

They are seeking an experienced and ambitious Food and Beverage Director to be part of their exciting journey to becoming the number one hospitality destination. With your experience you will be expected to drive new ideas and turn concepts into realitywith the support of the wider management team.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not restricted to:

- You will be part of the senior management team overseeing all Food and Beverage delivery across all outlets
- Implementing and delivering training programs across the team to achieve high standards consistently
- Leading a large team consisting of duty managers, restaurant and bar manager, head bartenders and waiters
- Support and help drive the opening of two new public outlets. Experience in opening new restaurants and concepts would be an advantage
- Proposing and implementing change to enhance quality and revenue
- Attend and contributing in operational meetings to discuss upcoming events and pro-actively contributing to these meetings
- Implement and monitor KPI's to drive quality, sales and costs
- Using your network you will drive new initiatives i.e carrying out tenders with suppliers for example
- You will work closely with the heads of departments ensuring a seamless guest journey
- Scheduling the staff rota ensuring that the necessary staff are on shift based on business levels and delivering to staff ratio KPI's
- Develop new and exciting ideas to enhance our products and services we deliver to guests whilst being financially and commercially astute
- Recruiting and developing staff to become future stars

What they are looking for?
- Excellent customer service with an ability to recognize how to exceed expectations
- History with implementing change
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, lead and develop a large team
- Ability to oversee multiple outlets simultaneously
- High end service background is desirable with ability to train and develop the team to a high standard
- History working with high volume numbers - banqueting and fine dining service
- A passion and in-depth knowledge of Food and Beverage and understanding of industry trends
- Attention to detail is vital
- Financial acumen and comfortable with budgets and tender processes
- Awareness of health & safety and food hygiene legislation
- A Personal License holder

In return the company offer a very competitive salary of £60,000-£65,000 per annum. This role is a full time role working early and late shifts including weekends. Hours will be worked averaging 40 hours per week.
