An opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Development Technical Assessor, based at either our Tipton or Taunton offices.Reporting to the Trainee Development Assessment Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for our Network Planning & DesignTrainees.
Depending on experience, alternative locations within the business may be considered.
Working hours are 37 per week and start time is 08:00.

**Main Responsibilities**:
- Providing specialist on-going assessment, advice and review for trainees on our Technical Training Programmes (Level 4 and above) and where required supporting Level 3 programme team.
- Identifying areas for improvement to the curriculum and content of the Technical Training Programmes.
- Assisting the Trainee Development Assessment Manager with the development of effective administration processes and systems for the management of all trainees.
- Update management information as required.
- Interpret, assess and provide feedback to trainees on specialist technical reports and tasks.
- Liaise with Trainees on a one to one basis, in order to provide guidance on all aspects of their formal training programme and their continued personal development.
The successful applicant must demonstrate the potential to undertake this technical assessment role and be able to manage the business, others and themselves.
Appropriate training and development will be given in order to assist the successful applicant to realise their full potential, however, experience of dispute resolution would be an advantage as would experience of assessing apprentices or trainees, ideallywithin the Engineering and Manufacturing industries
You will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons in line with Western Power Distribution policies and the Keeping Children Safe in Education Government guidelines, therefore experience in this area is desirable.
To succeed in this role you must be self-motivated with strong administrative and communication skills, both written and verbal.In addition you should possess good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills along with the ability to work well both as part of ateam and independently. You should be able to work quickly and accurately with great attention to detail and have the ability to prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are achieved.
If not already held you will be required to undertake formal qualifications, for example City & Guilds 2339 Level 3 in electrical engineering and Level 3 Assessor qualification.You will be mobile throughout our licence areas and should be prepared to spendtime away from your base when required.A company van will be provided for business use only, therefore a full current driving license is essential for this role.
