Appetite Me is a well-established business, run by a team of dedicated professionals. We specialise in working with farms, country estates and garden centres, helping them to explore the concepts and possibilities of diversification from traditional farming into high-end retail operations.

Our buying team play a vital role in our overall business success, so we are always on the lookout for passionate individuals to join us to help us on our hunt for the best artisan home, gift, foods and drinks the UK has to offer.

We are now looking for an additional Home & Food Buyer to come join our team.

Ideally educated in supply chain, procurement, or related business discipline. You will have good working knowledge of purchasing, category, and stock management together with excellent food industry market knowledge and negotiation/relationship management skills.

You will be a strong negotiator and have previous food buying experience

Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:

- Highly developed negotiation skills
- Food Buying experience
- Excellent supplier management skills
- Strong commercial acumen - accountability for achieving and excelling company targets
- Strategic ability - responsible for setting budgets, achieving margins, category profitability etc
- Highly self-motivated individual
- Identifying new product development opportunities
- Competitor Analysis
- Continually sourcing new suppliers
- Range management and category planning
- Category marketing / promotional planning
- Working cross functionally with other key business areas e.g., supply chain and technical
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Effective coaching and man-management
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to target and deliver significant cost savings
- Outstanding leadership skills
- Strong organisation skills and ability to work under pressure
- Purchasing experience is essential
- Be able to travel off site to visit clients and Trade shows
- Be able to stay away overnight on occasion
- Full time 40 hours per week - 5 days - 8:30 am - 16:30 pm

due to the location of the offices, you must have your own transport

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £28,000.00 per year
